Halloween is one of those occasions I like to mark by going all out. This is the first big themed party in our apartment and I can't wait for next year!!

In the dark, those little spider lights cast the most impressive shadows. Freaked some people out when they weren't paying attention. Target! (And by the way, the skull in the IronMan glasses is Joffrey. He's a year-round fixture here and that was his Halloween costume.)

This was my laundry room that I turned into a photo-booth. It didn't get used a lot but I think with a different crowd it would have been a hit.

Unfortunate eyesore before.

Bartop after. (You couldn't see the outlet without the flash of the camera.)

The "bartop" including the skull-shaped beer pitcher... nothing like dead flowers, too. That was just a fortunate turn of events... well, for me, not the flowers.

I got these candle holders at a wedding the week before Halloween. In a pinch for more appropriate lighting, I used children's plastic Hallween rings, cut the ring part off and stuffed them in there. Looked pretty cool while it was melting, too.

These were actually easier to cut out than I thought they would be. But it looked really hard so it upped my "Oh-you-really-put-a-lot-into-this" score.

I prefer the look of hand-carved faces... no matter how little artistic ability I have. Halloween is always somewhat about the child in us and this is one of those things that will always be part of my decorations.

Little bit of spiderwebs goes along way.

RoShamBo the RockLobster getting into character.

Our selection of pumpkin flavored beers. An interesting, seasonally appropriate, and tastey adventure into beer.

Orange "Halloweeny" Martinis with black rimming sugar and candy finger-bone swizzle sticks. The dripping black was an unexpected but favorable consequence. The fingers melted but the effect was awesome.

I like this pitcher... and wired ribbon is a miracle.

The set up. Blue corn chips looked great with the purple on green along with guacamole (gotta love that green color), queso, and salsa with eyeballs in it. Pumpkin seeds both salted and herbed were great. I also found a box of Booberry cereal which everyone loved. Finally, cocktail weiners wrapped mummy-style in croissants and run through with sword shaped cocktail skewers. The swords in the mummy-dogs were my favorite part.

Behind the camera most of the night, this is the only picture I have of myself... I was a girly version of Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th... Undead psycho-killers always take time for impeccable makeup.

Channeling Bobby Clarke? The teeth blackener didn't outlast the beer, but that eyeshadow black-eye wasn't going anywhere.
